CRES®POXY EP
Epoxy fairing coat
Hand applied, 2K, solvent free, epoxy designed as a high strength thin section material to apply on cracks, pinholes and irregularities in concrete surfaces. It has a smooth, thixotropic consistency allowing it to be applied both horizontally & vertically from feather edge to a maximum thickness of 10 mm. It has excellent adhesion to most substrates and reduces consumption of subsequent coatings. It is supplied in pre weighed packs ready for on site mixing and use, giving consistent properties and performance.
Properties:
- Filling pinholes prior to overcoating.
- General reprofiling over large areas, up to 3 mm depth.
- Sealing of surface cracks in preparation for crack injection.
Uses:
It is typically used prior to the use of other CRES® range flooring & coating products to repair small areas of chipped or damaged concrete, pin holes and other minor irregularities in areas subject to heavy traffic, impact and chemical exposure such as warehouse floors and industrial applications. It can also be used as a general purpose bedding mortar and adhesive.

How to Use:
- Preparation: Long term durability and function can only be achieved with good preparation to give a strong adhesive & mechanical bond to the substrate.
- Mechanically prepare concrete surfaces to remove laitance, curing compounds and other loose materials to provide a mechanical key for the CRES®POXY EP. After preparation, remove dust & debris to ensure a clean surface.
- Mixing: It is essential that the mixing instructions are carefully followed to ensure the correct characteristics of the product are achieved. Failure to do so can result in lower performance or even possible failure of the product.
- Mechanically mix all the resin components together until a homogenous consistency is achieved. Part mixing 2 : 1 by weight or volume is acceptable for this product, however we recommend mixing full packs to ensure consistency.
- Application: Apply the mixed material onto the prepared surface using a scraper, spatula or putty knife ensuring the void is completely filled. It can be applied from feather edge to a maximum thickness of 10 mm.
